The Destroyer

Have you heard of the book series titled "The Destroyer"? It was first published in the early 1970's. The original creators (Murphy and Sapir) wrote around the first 40 and then handed off it off to ghost writers. Sapir died in 1987. The series has a strong following of very particular fans. There have been some really good writers following Murphy and Sapir and some really poor writers. In order to be good, one has to have read and understood the characters. That hasn't happened over the last few years. Well, the good news is that Murphy wrestled control of the series back and will be partnering with one of the good writers (Mullaney). This is excellent news!

They sort of mentally delete the last dozen or so books and began anew. The title has changed and it has been reset to book number one. I have the book and have just started reading it. I have high expectations.
